Q&A with owner Raymond Schoenbaum:

Q. Why did you pick this particular kind of business?
I grew up in the restaurant business. My father was the founder of Shoney’s and when I was 14 years old, I started working for him.

Q. What are some of the foods/services you offer that people don’t know about?
Each restaurant offers daily specials by our chefs as well as daily drink specials by our bar managers. We encourage for customers with food allergies to request to talk to the chef, and the chef will create something to accommodate dietary restrictions.

Q. How many customers can your restaurant hold at one time?
Our dining room holds approximately 290 guests.

Q. Do you offer catering?
Yes. We do offer catering at all three locations and will deliver large orders.  Please contact the restaurant to discuss your event.

 Q. What special publicity or awards has your restaurant received?
A few of our recent awards include:
·         Best Brunch in Best of the Big A
·         Wine Spectator Award of Excellence
·         OpenTable Diner’s Choice Awards for Scenic View and Seafood
·         Best Seafood Restaurant in the Best of Citysearch for 2011

Q. What are your most popular dishes?
Horseradish Crusted Grouper, Ahi Tuna Tataki appetizer, Ginger Soy Tuna, Fresh Shucked Oysters, and Praline Basket as dessert.

Q. Is there anything else you would like our readers to know about your restaurant?
We offer an array of private dining opportunities, including the Event Pavilion that overlooks the Chattahoochee River and seats up to 200 guests.  We specialize in events of all sizes – from an intimate luncheon or dinner to a full court wedding on the Event Lawn and reception in the Event Pavilion. Q. What’s the best thing about being a small business owner in Sandy Springs?
Sandy Springs is a tight knit community, and we love being a part of it.  We have several diners who have dined with us since we opened and many long-time customers who dine with us regularly.  We love seeing all of these familiar faces, as well as new ones.
