Q. Why did you pick this particular kind of business?
A. My mother and sister love to scratch bake; when we all found out we had gluten sensitivities we modified our recipes to make them gluten free and decided to turn it into a business.

Q. What are some of the foods/services you offer that people don’t know about?
A.  We’ve started offering cupcakes and we have some great holiday items like pumpkin pie and dinner rolls that are to die for.

Q. Why did you choose to open your business in Sandy Springs?
A. The location is convenient; we’re seconds away from 400 and I-285.  Also, the Sandy Springs and surrounding communities are more affluent, which tends to fall in line with the demographics of our customer base.

Q. How many customers can your restaurant hold at one time?
A. We’re a bakery with basically a storefront so only a few people at a time.

Q. Do you offer catering?
A. We don’t since usually it’s only a few people that need to be gluten free and it’s more expensive.  But stay tuned…

Switching to a gluten-free diet is a big change and, like anything new, it takes some getting used to. You may initially feel deprived by the diet’s restrictions. However, try to stay positive and focus on all the foods you can eat. You may also be pleasantly surprised to realize how many gluten-free products, such as bread and pasta, are now available. Many specialty grocery stores sell gluten-free foods. If you can’t find them in your area, check with a celiac support group or go online. ,
