Growth and change are in the air in Sandy Springs and Genki Noodles & Sushi is heading in the right direction with it. When asked why they chose to open a location in Sandy Springs, owners Reid and Suzi Zeising responded:

“Being part of the fantastic community…. Family comes first here. Sandy Springs has it all, a growing Corporate Business Area and some of the most beautiful residential neighborhoods and property in the Greater Atlanta Market, all within minutes of downtown.”

Reid and Suzi Zeising have been the proud owners of Genki Noodles & Sushi in Sandy Springs for 14 years. They wanted a restaurant with a strong family-oriented environment and that’s precisely what they created.

The biggest misperception about Genki is that they only serve raw sushi. More than 60% of their menu is made with cooked seafood, meat or poultry. We have fantastic and trendy sushi rolls that are not raw and a super-extensive selection of other Japanese traditional and trendy fare like Yakitori, Tempura, Hibachi Bowls with rice and noodles as well as ribs, brothy soups, Yokisoba and Genkatsu.

The most popular rolls requested at Genki are the Super Crunch (salmon, cream cheese and advocado, tempura fried and drizzled with Japanese mayo and Sriracha) and the “I (heart) Sushi Roll” (Shrimp tempura and cream cheese topped with tuna, avocado, sweet and spicy chili sauce and wasabi cream).

If you are looking for a mouth-watering appetizer, dive into some Tiger Shrimp sauteed in spicy garlic chili sauce served over guacamole and house-made wonton chips. The most requested entrée is the Beef Spinach and Mushroom Bowl with thinly sliced beef sautéed with caramelized onions, served with crispy spinach and grilled portabella mushrooms, served over brown rice.

“I have always had a strong passion for food and I lived in Japan when I was younger. Being a Restaurant owner is not my primary career but it is one of the more fun and rewarding ways I make a living.”

Unlike most sushi restaurants, Genki has a strong focus on Catering. They offer a special catering menu and they cater events in any one of their 3 locations as well as off-site. Customers can pick up or utilize full service delivery. Genki delivers every day and night with designated delivery areas of 3 to 4 miles from each of their three locations – in Buckhead, Sandy Springs and Virginia Highlands.
